Sunny Raleigh, DO, is Co-Founder & Medical Director of Restoration Healthcare, Inc. — a Southern California-based healthcare practice that’s on a mission to restore hope and optimize the body’s innate ability to heal from within through the compassionate delivery of functional medicine. She is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, is American Osteopathic Association board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Family/Osteo Manipulative Medicine, and holds membership in the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Family Physicians, the Institute for Functional Medicine, and the International Lyme & Associated Diseases Society.

Dr. Raleigh has been practicing the art of osteopathic manipulative medicine since she earned her degree as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences in 2005. She performed her post-grad internship at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine, and completed her family practice and neuromuscular medicine residencies primarily at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, Maine, through the University of New England.

As Co-Founder of Restoration Healthcare, Dr. Raleigh brings innovative healthcare ideas and approaches to treat highly complex health-related issues. As Medical Director, she works toward fostering a caring and compassionate environment responsive to the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of all Restoration Healthcare patients. Her personal and professional values make Dr. Raleigh uniquely qualified to achieve these objectives. She values the innate dignity of all persons, respects their uniqueness and diversity, and strives to foster the fulfillment of each person’s incredible human potential.

As a result, time spent with patients, colleagues, and vendors never feels like work to her. Each day, Dr. Raleigh feels blessed to join alongside families as they journey through life, where the focus is on guiding to optimize their health along the way — to make life more fulfilling and joyful for patients and their families.

A recognized expert in the treatment of chronic illness without a diagnosis, Dr. Raleigh is often asked to speak at medical conferences and symposiums of her peers. As chair of the Orange County Functional Forum, she coordinates gatherings and the dissemination of information for the benefit of others in the fields of functional medicine and integrative healthcare.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Raleigh enjoys soccer, cooking, traveling, and paddle-boarding, along with raising three sons (all home births) with her husband and feeding them all locally grown organic food. She hopes her boys will learn to surf and will grow to love soccer and outdoor adventures as much as she does.
