IV Nutrition Therapy Irvine, CA
IV Therapy California
Medicine, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients can boost immune function, increase energy levels, and help manage a variety of chronic health conditions, and they are often delivered faster and more effectively intravenously — through an IV drip.
Here at Restoration Healthcare, we offer nutritional IV therapies to supply essential nutrients — nutrients that support the body’s normal metabolism and those required for restoring balance (homeostasis) — for the treatment of illness and fatigue. Our medically prescribed, intravenously delivered drips bring much-needed vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into your body, all under the watchful care of our doctors, medics, and trained medical staff.
When you’re acutely or chronically ill, you may benefit from “jump-starting” your system with a high concentration of nutrients delivered directly to the cells affected, getting them instantly on the road to healing. By directly administering nutrients to the body, higher blood levels can be achieved, which can provide the immediate therapeutic response you need.

Classic Myers’ Cocktail
This powerful blend of vitamins and minerals is designed for IV use. Dr. John Myers, a Maryland physician, originally developed it in the 1970s. Since then, doctors all over the world have used the Myers’ Cocktail to help protect against a broad spectrum of health conditions, including acute viral and bacterial infections, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines, bronchitis, sinusitis, fibromyalgia, asthma, and other respiratory problems.
This vitamin therapy is often used in a medically supervised plan of care for chronic fatigue and other autoimmune disorders in which a powerful immune-enhancing IV delivers Vitamin C into the body and goes straight into the bloodstream.
Calm — Anti-Anxiety
When life gets extra busy, this IV — which is designed to combat stress, anxiety, and depression — helps to nourish and calm your nervous system with high-dose magnesium.
Heart Health – Age Management
Antioxidants are the key to halting the process of aging. Full of vitamin C, B complex, selenium, chromium, taurine, carnitine and glutathione (the body’s master antioxidant), this IV helps reduce the processes that cause aging.
This is a potent antioxidant that quenches dangerous free radicals and binds to dangerous toxins through a process called “conjugation” so that they can be safely eliminated. Oral glutathione is not very stable; stomach acid and enzymes break it down into its three component amino acid parts, thereby rendering it useless.
To combat that, we use IV glutathione to ensure the effective delivery of the nutrient directly into the bloodstream.
Vitamin C is combined with glutathione for improved detoxification.
When life gets extra busy, this IV — designed to combat stress, anxiety and depression — may help to nourish and calm your nervous system with high-dose magnesium. Intravenous magnesium sulfate has been clinically proven to help battle several kinds of cardiovascular disease. Minerals are extremely important in the regulation of nerve impulses and muscle contraction. And of course, the heart is a muscle.
Amino Acid Boost
When your amino acid absorption rate is poor as determined by blood and urine tests, this amino acid drip, which is formulated for your individual needs, will allow the stomach to begin absorbing nutrients properly. This can help symptoms such as depression and signs of poor absorption such as delayed healing and fatigue.
Chelation therapy involves the infusion of specific drugs like EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid) to remove heavy metals from the body. Lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and aluminum are toxic to the body in milligram amounts. They may contribute to cardiovascular disease, including heart attacks, heart failure, and strokes; dementia; and other neurological disorders including autism, diabetes, and kidney disease. Because of their slow elimination, heavy metals may be stored in various body tissues for many years. Because blood testing does not accurately assess body storage of heavy metals, we measure urinary excretion of these metals after giving a dose of a chelating agent.
Chelation therapy, given as an infusion of vitamins and minerals and EDTA, has been employed for more than 50 years as a medically supervised approach for managing cardiovascular disease. Patients receive an initial series of infusions, two or three times a week for a total of 30 sessions, thereafter once a month indefinitely as maintenance therapy.
*In addition to being chronically overstressed, most people do not get optimal nutrition, and often they have difficulty absorbing and manufacturing these vital nutrients. As a result, liver cells may become nutrient deficient, which manifests as a sluggish liver, weight gain, fatigue, poor sleep, increased cholesterol, abrupt mood changes and many other negative effects. Because the nutrients are delivered via injection, optimal absorption is easier to achieve.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why Do I Need IV Therapy?
At Restoration Healthcare, IV Therapy is integral to our doctor’s clinical plan for treating complex chronic illnesses. Our IV therapy protocol prescriptions are specified for your health issues and deliver specialized nutrients to address complex chronic illnesses at the cellular level. Our physicians formulate and prescribe intravenous therapies for complex chronic diseases to bypass what is often a compromised gut to ensure nutrients get directly to the cells. We also prescribe chelation IV therapy, which is for removing toxic heavy metals and certain medications (see more below).
What Does IV Therapy Do?
IV Therapy applies therapeutic compounds directly into the body. It bypasses the gut and intestines, which may be compromised or inefficient at metabolizing prescribed medications and therapeutic compounds. This malabsorption can be significant if the digestive tract is compromised from illness. When these compounds are applied directly into the body under the careful supervision of our licensed doctors and trained medical staff, they work at the cellular level to boost immune function, increase energy levels and restore pathways to manage complex, chronic health problems.
How is IV Therapy More Effective Than Oral Delivery Methods?
The bioavailability and absorption of IV compounds are always higher than anything taken orally because it bypasses the body’s digestive tract. Anything in a pill or powder form travels through the digestive system and may be lost along the way. Conversely, IV therapy injects therapeutic compounds directly into the bloodstream; there’s no need for the body to metabolize the dose through the digestive system. Many obstacles prevent the digestive system from working efficiently, which limits absorption and bioavailability, including:
- Infections of the gut lining
- Inflammation of the gut
- Smoking and alcohol consumption
How Does IV Therapy Differ from Chelation Therapy?
Exposure to toxic heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, thallium, and aluminum can come from our food and water, air, and even some medications. They are found in paints and construction materials, batteries, lightbulbs, gasoline, pesticides, fungicides, cigarette smoke, and even the fireworks we enjoy around the 4th of July.
There is no escaping them and unfortunately, sometimes the body is poorly equipped to purge them from our systems. Often genetics create great vulnerability. Toxic heavy metals bind to cells and inhibit the normal function of cells and organs. If concentrations of certain toxic heavy metals are too high in the body, it can be associated with serious health conditions. A process called chelation helps remove heavy metals. Chelation therapy involves taking a substance that binds to heavy metal molecules in a way that enables your body to eliminate them as waste products. Technically speaking, “chelation” means to grab or bind. We use CaEDTA (calcium ethylenediaminetetra-acetic acid) delivered directly into the bloodstream via intravenous (IV) drip.
What Can I Expect from IV Therapy at Restoration Healthcare?
A course of treatment will depend on baseline laboratory work and the severity of the condition. Most courses of IV Therapy will be weekly, for up to 12-weeks, and Chelation Therapy is up to 40-weeks. Our staff monitors progress through the treatment, and doses are adjusted accordingly.
If this sounds complicated and time-consuming, we understand. And we also know from experience and patient outcomes that this therapy can make the difference in resolving stubborn and complex chronic health conditions.
The clinic has two IV therapy rooms, one for working and keeping up with busy lives and the other for quiet activities with what we call “library” rules. Our staff is always nearby to check on you, answer questions and ensure you are comfortable. To ensure the expected outcomes, you must complete your doctor’s entire prescribed IV Therapy course of treatment. Our comprehensive approach to treating complex-chronic illness is a commitment of time and energy. We understand that can be a challenge. However, we know from experience that this commitment is needed to resolve complex chronic illnesses.
